The successful candidate will have strong research skills and problem-solving abilities, a passion for finding answers, and a strong desire to learn and grow. The ability to multi-task and think creatively about the different kinds of information that could support a concept will be crucial for success – this may include researching current trends in a specific industry, finding related case studies, or scouring business publications for relevant points of view. Ideally, you will have the ability to craft a financial analysis to support a business case, or at least a desire to tackle this. Additionally, you should be comfortable communicating your analysis to stakeholders on a regular basis, both in writing and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the detailed scope and timeline of the research request
  • Conduct research and analyze the data to prepare a well-structured research report
  • Formulate the research methodology for each request and document research sources
  • Active participation in the research brainstorming process to validate and structure the research findings
  • Communicate regularly and provide status with the Research Lead on the request
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Valorem solutions, partners, competitors, and market landscape
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and project retrospectives on a regular basis
  • Identify improvements in research processes and in day-to-day team activities 
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Basic understanding of secondary research and primary research methodologies
  • Ability to conduct technology research, market studies, competitive studies, benchmarking studies, product research, vendor analysis, thought leadership papers, customer journey mapping, GTM reports, research surveys etc.
  • Knowledge of disruptive technologies and their use cases, emerging solutions, new business models, etc.
  • Ability to transform large, complex datasets into structured, comprehensible reports
  • Proficient in M365 applications – especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Superior writing composition skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to leverage latest tools to sharpen research findings
  • Willingness to collaborate and learn 
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/Bachelor of Engineering, Post graduation in Business will be an added advantage
  • Min 1 year of experience in Business Research
  • Proficient in M365 applications – especially Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Superior writing composition skills and presentation skills
