As the Power Platform Development Team Leader, you will help sell and deliver innovative low-code solutions to our Giant Tech clients. You and your team will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. The focus for this role will be to augment our existing custom development and data projects, using Power Platform for rapid proof of concepts (POC’s), model driven Dataverse applications to drive workflows, building custom code components inside of Power Apps, and more. You will also lead and mentor a team of Power Platform low-code developers, collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders, and ensure best practices and quality standards are followed.

Responsibilities

  • You will build and manage a team to design and develop applications using the Microsoft Power Platform, leveraging its capabilities and features to meet business requirements and user needs using various app types, such as canvas, model-driven, Copilot Studio and portal apps
  • Your team will also be experts in Dataverse and other database solutions, to store and manage data for your applications, building a team culture that understands that every app is only as good as its underlying data structure
  • Deploy and manage Power Platform applications using DevOps tools and processes and ensure compliance with security and governance policies and apply deployment strategies, such as packaging, importing, exporting, and versioning
  • Integrate Power Platform applications with other Microsoft and third-party services, such as custom applications, Azure services, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, SQL Server, etc. using various connectors, such as standard, custom, and premium connectors, and apply integration patterns, such as orchestration, mediation, and transformation
  • Your team will use Copilot Studio to simplify and accelerate your integration workflows, Bot development and AI agent development
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of Power Platform applications, and provide technical support and maintenance
  • Lead, mentor, and onboard Power Platform developers while providing code reviews and feedback and ensure proper coding standards, such as naming conventions, code formatting, and code commenting while building a strong, healthy team culture
  • Provide technical sales guidance, estimations, and grow opportunities by establishing deep relationships with prospective and existing clients
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in developing applications using the Microsoft Power Platform
  • Strong knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio, and their capabilities including proficiency in using various data sources and connectors, such as Dataverse, SQL Server, SharePoint, Excel, etc.
  • Experience in integrating Power Platform applications with other Microsoft and third-party services, such as custom solutions, Azure, Dynamics 365, Office 365, etc.
  • Strong communication skills are required, such as listening, presenting, and explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals
  • Proven track record of driving technical pre-sales for sales pursuits and project extensions
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in deploying and managing Power Platform applications using DevOps tools and processes, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.
  • Current or prior experience with object-oriented programming languages and professional software development concepts
  • Proficient with solution architectural design, testing/quality assurance, and UI/UX 
  • Experience in leading and mentoring other developers, and providing code reviews and feedback 
  • Excellent team building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Certification in Microsoft Power Platform or related technologies is a plus
