We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Manager / Business Unit Manager to lead our Business Unit in the northeast region. As a Business Unit Manager, you will be directly responsible for leading a business unit that delivers a diverse set of modern work projects. You will report directly to the partner and be responsible for the overall management, business development, and financial performance of the unit. Your multi-faceted role will draw on your business and market knowledge to land and expand the Valorem Modern Work brand. You will lead collaborative teams across the organization to engage and support project delivery, forge strong client and partner relationships, manage internal and external stakeholder expectations, work with the PMO and Reply leadership, and contribute to a world-class multi-disciplinary team of technical and development consultants, adoption change management and design consultants, and our PMO team.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Lead and manage the Business Unit, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives. Provide leadership support by building broad relationships across the business and communicating key leadership priorities. Maintain a working knowledge of executive level vision, strategy, and priorities for the BU. Drive efforts to establish internal business operations processes and policies when they are applicable to multiple areas of top-level leadership interests
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive growth and expand market presence. Establish and maintain strong relationships with Microsoft, clients, and stakeholders
  • Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the Business Unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Monthly management of allocations, forecasts, and business growth to support overall business targets. Manage BU activities including (but not limited to) organizational financial reviews, operational planning efforts, execution progress checks, end-of-cycle retrospectives, etc
  • Land and Expand: Enhance and promote the Valorem Reply’s Modern Work brand within the region through strategic marketing, business development, and thought leadership initiatives in collaboration with the VMW partner and senior leadership team
  • Microsoft 365 industry and Market Expertise: Utilize strong Microsoft 365 expertise and VMW offerings to enable team members and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions to clients
  • Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology / Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus
  • 8 years of combined experience in a leadership role, preferably within a similar industry
  • Proven experience in business development and financial acumen
  • Strong Microsoft 365 background with the ability to understand and enable technical solutions
  • Excellent people management skills with a focus on team building and development
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically, and to make informed data driven decisions
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software development or technical project lifecycles and/or adoption and change management projects
  • PMP certification, Prosci or Microsoft certifications
  • Consultancy or agency background
