The identity management trend that Valorem Reply has been encountering is Privileged Identity Management, or also known as the acronym PIM. This service provides time-based and approval-based role activation for Just-in-Time Privileged Access to manage, control, and monitor access to important resources in a custom organization that includes resources in Azure Active Directory, Azure, and other Microsoft online services such as Microsoft 365.
The relevance and importance of this solution is the ability to mitigate the risks of excessive, unnecessary, or misused access permissions on resources from either an unauthorized malicious act or gaining access, as well as an authorized user inadvertently impacting sensitive resources. This would also include features as enforcement of multifactor authentication, access reviews, justification, notification, as well as time-bound access with start and end dates.
Valorem Reply is preparing for this by guiding customers to utilize Azure AD Premium P2 licensing, which also offers an opportunity for those customers to not only leverage this feature, but all of their exciting and useful options of Azure Premium P2 licensing that will further harden their security as well as improve your overall security posture.
