AZURE OPENAI-POWERED CHATBOT FOR UNITED WAY OF GREATER ATLANTA
United Way of Greater Atlanta has been serving the community for nearly 120 years to drive sustainable and equitable improvements in the well-being of children, families, and individuals. Because they are always looking for ways to make a greater impact in the lives of those they serve, United Way realized the need for a more efficient and user-friendly system to address their information accessibility challenges. United Way sought Valorem Reply's Azure AI expertise to develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for an Azure OpenAI-powered chatbot, “Charlie,” that would streamline information delivery. Through a meticulous discovery phase, Valorem engaged stakeholders to understand the current data estate and seamlessly integrated 20 essential workflows into the chatbot spanning diverse service categories such as disaster services, donations, counseling services, and more. After a few months of testing the MVP and witnessing the success of the chatbot in their development environment, United Way was confident to deploy the fully developed chatbot to a live environment, making it accessible to the community, and continuously monitoring and optimizing its performance and user interactions. This chatbot ultimately makes vital information more discoverable and accessible to families in need, amplifying the impact of United Way of Greater Atlanta's mission.
We're proud to have guided United Way of Greater Atlanta's chatbot all the way from an MVP to a full deployment. This journey showcases our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance accessibility and operational efficiency for nonprofits, ultimately accelerating United Way's impactful mission.
